Position Overview:
As a Performance Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing data, optimizing vehicle performance, and refining race strategies. You will collaborate with race engineers, drivers, and Toyota Race Development programs to maximize our competitive advantage on and off the track.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis: Analyze and interpret race data using Cosworth, MoTeC, Atlas, and other software to maximize performance.
Simulation & Vehicle Optimization: Utilize Toyota Race Development simulation tools to enhance vehicle performance.
Data Processing & Modeling: Use Python for advanced data analysis, automation, and performance modeling.
Race Strategy Development: Provide real-time insights into race strategy and competitive decision-making using AI-backed tools.
Trackside Support: Travel with the team to races and tests, ensuring real-time performance optimization and troubleshooting.
Analytical Excellence: Apply strong analytical skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced racing environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Motorsports Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 2+ years in motorsports engineering.
Technical Expertise:
Proficiency in data acquisition software (Cosworth, MoTeC, Atlas, etc.).
Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics and motorsports simulation tools.
Experience in Python coding for data analysis and automation.
Knowledge of race strategy development and in-race decision-making.
Collaboration & Communication: Ability to work effectively with race engineers and drivers to translate data into performance gains.
Passion & Commitment: A strong passion for motorsports, willingness to travel, and a dedicated work ethic.
