ROAD MECHANIC
LEGACY MOTOR CLUB is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Road Mechanic.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the car preparation at the shop, assist with NACAR technical inspection and assist with adjustments at the track.
The successful individual must be able to communicate well and work closely with shop and track peers.
Key Responsibilities:
Follow checklists to ensure all important parts are examined, including driveline, steering systems, brake and fuel systems, suspension, and other potentially troublesome areas.
Assist with NASCAR inspection process.
Responsible for making suspension and drivetrain changes as needed.
Examines all key parts, including belts, hoses, steering systems, brake and fuel systems, and other potentially troublesome areas.
Examine vehicles components to determine extent of damage or malfunctions.
Repair, replace, and adjust brakes.
Disassemble units and inspect parts for wear, using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
Maintain cleanliness of work area.
Qualifications:
Minimum three years' experience in a related position
Must possess a strong mechanical aptitude with thorough knowledge of race car components and car systems
Familiarity with NASCAR Technical inspection process and racetrack procedures, strongly preferred.
Strong communication skills and the ability to interact well with others
Travel: Extensive, based on NASCAR Cup Series race schedule
