Quality Control Director - Motorsports

Are you passionate about motorsports and dedicated to the highest standards of quality and performance? We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quality Control Director to join our NASCAR Cup team. This role is key in ensuring our race cars meet rigorous quality standards and perform at the peak level necessary to compete in NASCAR’s most elite series. 

Position Overview:

As the Quality Control Director, you will lead our quality assurance efforts to uphold precise specifications, guarantee component durability, and enhance overall car reliability and performance. You will work collaboratively with engineering, fabrication, and technical teams to establish best practices and maintain strict standards for every stage of vehicle preparation, inspection, and testing. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage quality control processes for all aspects of race car construction, including parts, assemblies, and final inspection 

  • Develop and implement quality control policies and inspection protocols that ensure alignment with NASCAR regulations and team performance goals 

  • Work closely with engineering and technical teams to identify and resolve any quality issues that arise during production or testing phases 

  • Establish, monitor, and report on key quality metrics to continually improve processes and performance 

  • Coordinate with NASCAR’s governing body to ensure compliance with all technical and safety standards 

  • Manage a team of quality inspectors, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability within the quality control department 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, or related field; master’s degree preferred 

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in quality control within motorsports or a highly regulated manufacturing environment 

  • Strong understanding of NASCAR Cup regulations and the demands of a competitive racing environment 

  • Proven leadership skills with experience in managing and motivating a high-performing team 

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to perform under the pressures of a fast-paced racing schedule 

Location: Statesville, NC  

Pay: Competitive, commensurate with experience 

Travel: Minimal to none.
