Director OF Licensing

 The Director of Licensing will lead LEGACY MOTOR CLUB’s licensing efforts—transforming brand equity into sustainable revenue. This role oversees the full licensing lifecycle: sourcing and managing licensees, negotiating agreements, ensuring brand compliance, and launching product-driven campaigns. The Director balances strategic business development with operational excellence to maximize royalty streams, deepen brand reach, and uphold excellence across all licensing initiatives.

This position requires a strong working knowledge of licensing, retail, hard lines development and production, retail mathematics. Individual will be a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with a passion for developing, nurturing and maintaining strong business relationships within the licensing space.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

GENERATING BUSINESS & LICENSEE ACQUISITION

  • Identify and secure new licensing partners across product categories and regions by leveraging LEGACY MOTOR CLUB’s brand and competitive advantage.

  • Facilitate meetings between licensee and our industry partners for potential cross promotional initiative

CONTRACT NEGOTIATION & COMPLIANCE

  • Lead negotiations, finalize licensing contracts, and ensure ongoing compliance—managing royalties, approvals, product quality, and timelines.

  • Oversees legal, forecasting and accounting tasks associated with licensing efforts.

CONCEPT TO CAMPAIGN COLLABORATION

  • Activate licensed products across marketing, retail, and digital platforms—working closely with Creative, Digital, and Partnerships teams to align visuals, messaging, and go-to-market plans.

  • Maintain consistent communication with all relevant internal parties, through collaboration and innovation.

ACTIVE PROGRAM MANAGEMENT

  • Serve as LEGACY MOTOR CLUB’s lead liaison to licensees—guiding product development, approvals, marketing sync, and forecasts to optimize market performance.

  • Schedule, plan to entertain clients at strategic events.

  • Continue to monitor campaign and identify potential necessary adjustments

  • Nurture and maintain professional relationship with licensees

FINANCIAL REPORTING

  • Maintain financial reporting for each initiative.

  • Track and report on royalty performance, territory/product breakdowns, and category insights to inform executive strategy and licensing decisions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, retail, merchandising, marketing or similar; or at least four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 5-7 years of experience in licensing, sports licensing, brand management, account management, merchandising, retail development or similar.

  • Proven experience negotiating and managing complex licensing agreements.

  • Strong understanding of product manufacturing, IP protection, brand management, Direct To Retail programs, and royalty reporting.

  • Proficient computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite. Advanced proficiency in Power Point and Excel preferred.

  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and shifting priorities.

  • Willingness to travel based on business needs, including nights and weekends.

DIRECTOR OF SOFTWARE DEVOPS

We are seeking a Director of Software DevOps to lead our data infrastructure strategy and build the foundational systems that power our competitive advantage. In this critical leadership role, you'll architect and oversee the development of robust data ingestion pipelines, design scalable database solutions, and establish DevOps practices that enable our racing teams to make data-driven decisions in real-time. You'll transform raw telemetry, sensor data, and operational information into structured, accessible datasets that fuel our Applied Technologies initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Data Architecture & Infrastructure

  • Design and implement comprehensive data ingestion frameworks capable of handling high-frequency telemetry, sensor fusion data, video streams, and operational datasets

  • Architect scalable database solutions (relational, time-series, and NoSQL) optimized for motorsports analytics and real-time querying

  • Develop data governance standards, ensuring data quality, consistency, and accessibility across all racing operations

  • Create automated data validation and monitoring systems to maintain data integrity at scale

DevOps Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines for data processing applications and infrastructure deployments

  • Establish containerization strategies using Docker and Kubernetes for consistent, scalable data processing environments

  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation

  • Drive cloud-native architecture adoption across AWS platforms to support our data and analytics needs

Team Management & Collaboration

  • Build and lead a high-performing DevOps engineering team focused on data infrastructure and automation

  • Collaborate closely with the Technical Director, Sporting Director, data scientists, and race engineering teams

  • Mentor team members on best practices in data engineering, DevOps methodologies, and cloud technologies

  • Manage cross-functional relationships with IT, Engineering, and Racing Operations teams

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure 24/7 reliability of data systems supporting race weekends, testing sessions, and simulation environments

  • Implement comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and incident response procedures for mission-critical data systems

  • Optimize system performance to support sub-second data processing requirements during live racing events

  • Establish disaster recovery and business continuity plans for all data infrastructure

Strategic Technology Leadership

  • Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies in data engineering, stream processing, and cloud computing

  • Drive technology standardization and architectural decisions across the organization's data ecosystem

  • Represent LMC at industry conferences and maintain relationships with technology partners

  • Support travel to race events, testing sessions, and partner meetings as required

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Engineering, or related technical field

  • 8+ years of experience in DevOps, data engineering, or infrastructure roles with 3+ years in senior leadership positions

  • Proven track record of building and scaling data infrastructure in high-performance, mission-critical environments

Technical Expertise

  • Expert-level knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) including data services, compute, storage, and networking

  • Strong experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration in production environments

  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline design and implementation (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI)

  • Deep understanding of database technologies including SQL, NoSQL, time-series databases (InfluxDB, TimescaleDB)

  • Experience with big data technologies (Apache Spark, Kafka, Airflow) and stream processing frameworks

Programming & Scripting

  • Strong scripting abilities in Python, Bash, and PowerShell

  • Familiarity with multiple programming languages (C#, C++, Go, or Rust) for integration work

  • Experience with data processing frameworks and ETL/ELT pipeline development

Leadership & Communication

  • Proven ability to lead technical teams and drive complex, multi-stakeholder projects

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to present technical concepts to executive leadership

  • Experience managing vendor relationships and technology partnerships

  • Strong project management skills with experience in Agile methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

Motorsports & Automotive Experience

  • Previous experience in motorsports (NASCAR, F1, IndyCar, WEC) or high-performance automotive environments

  • Understanding of telemetry systems, CAN bus protocols, and automotive sensor technologies

  • Familiarity with vehicle dynamics data, lap timing systems, and race strategy analytics

Advanced Technical Skills

  • Experience with real-time data processing and low-latency system design

  • Knowledge of data lake and data warehouse architectures (Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift)

  • Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) and APM solutions

  • Familiarity with machine learning operations (MLOps) and model deployment pipelines

  • Understanding of data security, compliance, and privacy best practices

Industry Knowledge

  • Experience in high-frequency data environments (financial trading, IoT, gaming, sports analytics)

  • Knowledge of edge computing and distributed system architectures

  • Certification in cloud platforms (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect)
