Erik Jones developed a passion for racing at a young age. Hailing from Byron, Michigan, he began his career driving quarter midgets at local tracks before transitioning to stock cars at age 13. Jones made history in 2015 when he won the NASCAR Truck Series Championship with Kyle Busch Motorsports, becoming the youngest champion in the series at 19 years, 5 months, and 21 days. Jones was the first driver to win Rookie of the Year honors in all three of NASCAR’s top national touring series (Cup, Xfinity, and Trucks) in three consecutive years. Jones has triumphed at some of NASCAR’s most prestigious venues, including two victories at the Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway and a win in the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona International Speedway.

Off the track, Jones founded the Erik Jones Foundation (EJF) in 2021, focusing on three pillars: promoting early cancer detection and care, igniting children’s passion for reading and literacy, and advocating for animal welfare. In recognition of his outstanding philanthropic efforts, he was named the 2024 Comcast Community Champion for the positive impact of his foundation. The 2025 season will mark his fifth year driving the iconic No. 43 car, made famous by Richard Petty.
